Marcono Hines, M.D. is Nova’s medical director. Board Certified in Family Practice, he brings years of experience to the people of North Carolina. Dr. Hines received his medical degree from the UNC in Chapel Hill. Born in Kinston, N.C., he has always called eastern North Carolina his home. Dr. Hines is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management and firmly believes in the benefits of blended healthcare for chronic pain.
Julia Boss, FNP, received her Bachelors of Science from UNC Chapel Hill and her Masters in Nursing from East Carolina University. Born in Smithfield, NC, she and her family have in lived New Bern for 16 years.
As a life-long native of North Carolina Julia enjoys helping people, both young and old, with their everyday medical problems in the fast paced Urgent Care setting. Julia and her husband Clay have one daughter, Morgan aged 16 years. In her spare time Julia enjoys anything that keeps her outside in the sunshine – beach, pool, working in the yard or garden. She also enjoys traveling but makes sure to avoid anywhere with snow or cold weather.
Glenn Sikes, PA-C is a well rounded and accomplished physician assistant whose background includes more than 22 years in direct patient care. His former positions include Director of Surgery and Surgical Physician Assistant. Glenn spent four years in the US Air Force and was assigned to both OB-GYN and ER services. Later, as a PA he held Emergency Room, Urgent Care and Surgical positions. He is an instructor for the American Academy of Physician Assistants sponsored Suture Workshops and was a clinical instructor at George Washington University . An avid sailor, Glenn has sailed from Nova Scotia to the Caribbean and Venezuela . He has since swallowed the anchor and is proud to call New Bern his new home.
